Over the last week of August and the first week of September, YCN LIVE will create 'platforms for emerging talent' internationally. Partners will show the work of emerging creatives within their workspaces, environments and media.

Eva, Art trek´s curator, after a well-deserved week of recuparating from the preparations and opening, made a picture selection and updated the website with the expo and vernissage photos. You can check everything out on under events (pictures), artists (the ones that say "new") and press.
And if you are around Antwerp until september 6, don´t miss the show that looks really good.

Art trek 5 exhibition
in Antwerp is near!

A new selection of fresh international artists has arrived! Their tools are graphic design, illustration, drawing, painting,... They may have different styles, but they share a common feeling for contemporary visual arts. More info on art-trek.
Opening on August 2 from 18h with a free concert by Antwerp's finest hip hop duo Nag & Twan, be there! Pasajes de Diseño magazine is doing a "chain interview" seires. So, after being interviewed i had to interview someboy else. So i chose one of my favourite illustrators: Gregori Saavedra. We had some beers, talked about his carreer and had a great time . Now, one month later, you can find the piece in issue # 3 of this great magazine. |

Ink 01. International Illustration Rally. |
Madrid based creative studio Picnic is launching INK 01, a huge illutration project to be held in Bilbao. I worked on the event´s identity and will be part of the main exhibition.
Many interesting things are going to happen in this "ilustration rally": exhibitions, conferences, round tables, meeting people, etc. |

I was featured in a 3 pages interview at Pasajes de Diseño magazine (#2, april 2008). Fanzines, illustration, design and (again!) pataphysics were some of the things i talked about with Elena Rodriguez Alcoba, who interviewed me. |

Aludd exhibition
opens.
|
Alud, the spanish Word for a mud avlanche, is a large mass of material moving rapidly and razing whatever it finds it its way and re-arranging the landscape in a new way… sometimes nice, sometimes creepy. Aludd is bringing Ned Ludd, the leader of the artisans in the early nineteenth century destroyed machines in the first years of the Industrial Revolution, back to life. Aludd is a direct attack to our perceptions schemes. Aludd is Max-o-matic´sfirst solo show featuring his most recent work. Aludd will take place in one of his most beloved galleries: Duduá. Opening: march 7th, 2008. 20h @ Duduá.
Duduá is located in Barcelona´s Born quarter, in 6, Rossic st. Tel. (+34) 93 315 04 01. The galery/shop opens from tuesday to thursday from 16.30 to 20.30 and Fidays and Saturdays from 11 to 14 and from 17 to 2 |
