F.C. Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets collaborated with Barcelona artist Max-o-matic to create an unique artwork.
Nike and Foot Locker paired four footballers, with four artists in four different cities across Europe. The artists took the athlete’s off-pitch personality, style and enthusiasm and turned it into a unique ‘Nike Air Max 90’ portrait. F.C. Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets collaborated with Barcelona artist Max-o-matic to share his passion for sports, his hometown, his family – and of course, Nike Air Max 90. Commissioned by AKQA, Amsterdam.

I was commissioned by EURO RSCG 4D´s office in Dusseldorf to illustrate a book for the software giant SAP.
The "Big book of little things" told many stories about situations where small details where key elements for huge discoveries that changed the way we live (penicillin, microwave, pencil rubber...), and i had to illustrate those stories. Little white lies magazine´s fifth creative brief was about designing a poster for the future movie of your dreams.
It could be an adaptation of a book that hasn't been written, or the biopic of a man who never lived. The poster might be purely typographic, it could be illustrative. My poster was a runner-up, ending between the best 3. It was about an imaginary movie about –the writer- Raymond Roussel´s life, writings and death. Although he died almost 100 years ago, i find his ideas about writing, creativity and his work methods are still revolutionary and inspiring. Latex for fun is a book edited by Max-o-matic (Barcelona) and published by Gestalten (Berlin) with designer toys + diy ethics!
The project started with a simple idea: create disposable "designer toys" with pure d.i.y. ethics. We started drawing over balloons what we would like to draw over vinyl toys, but we couldn´t afford. That´s how the Latex for fun project was born... and in a few months 135 designers from over 20 countries participated; Their work reflects various styles, personalities and cultures, but all of it shows how vibrantly creative the collaboration of a spontaneously generated global design network can be. Latex for fun is a book edited by Max-o-matic (Barcelona), and published by Gestalten (Berlín). To celebrate the release of the book, an exhibition will be held in Vallery (Barcelona) showcasing work from many artists involved in the project.
